Many people don’t know the real story behind St. Valentine’s day.

A dark truth of how Valentine’s day came to be and its origin story will be hitting the internet within the next few days. If you are of a curious mind and always loved sad and dark truth’s about things in life buckle in.

It has always fascinated me how people can be obsessed with Valentine’s Day.

Every year, shops all around the world would stock up their shelves with the most expensive chocolates, teddy bears, cards, and jewelry to gift your significant other. Flower shops would be full of the most beautiful flowers, from roses to orchids.

However, throughout history, all the way from the 14th century, thanks to a certain poet, February 14th became associated with a day of love and romance.

The poet, Geoffrey Chaucer has written a poem Parlement of Foules where he mentions for the first time a connection between love and Valentine’s day in the late 14th century.
