Power of Motivational Speeches
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
How many times have you found yourself in a need to put something down on paper, but the motivation to write just wasn’t there? If you’re asking me, I have lost the count.
It wasn’t until recently that I realized my writer’s block was so bad I couldn’t even write my book unless I read it in the genre I was writing first. Something had to be done about this and I knew it.
I am always down in trying different aspects of finding the right motivation. Whether it is a book, a series, music, going for a walk, anything. Never a shortage of those. What I recently found very helpful was listening to motivational speeches.
For the first 10 minutes, I would listen to the spoken words. I’d let them settle in and feel them with my entire body. Then when I’d notice the words settling in and thinking about what was said I was ready to take action.
The moment I sit down to write after this, the ideas are flowing out that I am unable to type as fast as my mind keeps producing those very same ideas. I feel like I’m going to explode man!
